Supported Exits
Career transition support for organisations navigating redundancy, restructure, and senior exits.
When someone leaves an organisation, how that transition is handled matters. It matters to the person leaving. It matters to the colleagues watching. And it matters to your reputation as an employer.
Career transition is not just a logistical process. At senior level in particular, a redundancy, a restructure, or an exit can affect confidence, identity, and professional direction in ways that outlast the immediate circumstances. People who are well supported through that transition move forward more quickly, more clearly, and with their sense of professional authority intact.
Supported Exits provides organisations with access to the same quality of career transition support that senior leaders would seek out independently. It combines practical career tools, expert guidance, and the kind of human intelligence that understands what transition actually involves at this level.
The work is grounded in over 30 years of board-level recruitment and executive search experience. It is available for a single person leaving, a small group, or an entire workforce navigating change.
What We Offer
Supported Exits: £680 per person
For individuals or small numbers of people leaving an organisation, where a full white-label programme is not required but proper support is.
Each person receives:
Access to the How to Write an Impactful CV and Covering Letters That Connect course
A career clarity session to establish direction and momentum
A CV ELEVATE session to sharpen positioning and presentation
An interview intensive to build confidence and sharpen performance
Each package is delivered by Heather I’anson directly. This is not a volume processing service. It is expert, personalised support commissioned by an organisation for a specific individual.
Executive Exit Support: £900 per person
For senior leavers at director level and above, where the complexity of the transition warrants deeper preparation and the seniority of the individual makes a single interview session insufficient.
Each person receives:
Access to the CV and covering letters courses
A career clarity session
A CV ELEVATE session
The Interview Intensive Programme: three sessions focused on preparation, practice, and confidence at senior panel level
Delivered by Heather I’anson directly. Appropriate where the organisation wants its senior person to leave with their professional authority fully intact and their next chapter clearly in view.
The Career Transition Programme
For organisations managing larger-scale redundancy, restructure, or internal reorganisation, including redeployment processes where staff are competing for roles in a new structure.
The Career Transition Programme is a modular, white-labelled offer that can be scaled to cohorts of any size. It combines a self-led learning library, live group workshops, and optional one-to-one coaching support. Courses are white-labelled to your organisation, giving your people a consistent, professionally produced resource that reflects your values and context.
This is suitable for public sector, not-for-profit, and regulated organisations where duty of care, employer brand, and the quality of individual experience all matter.
Pricing is by scope and staff numbers. To discuss a programme for your organisation, please get in touch.
The Senior Appointments Masterclass
Some organisations ask whether a departing senior leader could join the Senior Appointments Masterclass rather than commission a bespoke package. In some circumstances, this is the right answer.
The Masterclass is a small, curated twelve-week programme for senior professionals preparing for their next appointment. It combines group learning with individual expert review, and places are limited to eight per cohort. Where a departing leader would benefit from peer learning alongside expert support, and where timing aligns, an organisationally funded place can be arranged.
If this feels relevant to your situation, it is worth a conversation.
Why This Is Different
Traditional outplacement tends to be a volume service. People are moved through a process and given access to generic resources. It fulfils a legal and reputational obligation without necessarily making much difference to what happens next.
Supported Exits starts from a different place. Career transition at senior level is not primarily a skills problem. People who have led organisations, managed complex stakeholders, and delivered significant outcomes over decades know how to do the work. What changes in transition is the context, and with it the confidence, the narrative, and the ability to communicate decades of contribution in a form the external market can read.
The expertise behind this work is not generic career coaching. It comes from over 30 years spent inside senior recruitment processes, understanding what panels actually decide on, what good looks like at each level, and what it takes for a capable person to translate their experience into a form that lands.
Who This Is For
Supported Exits is designed for organisations in public, not-for-profit, regulated, and values-led sectors where people matter and exits are handled with care. It is particularly relevant where:
Senior leaders or directors are leaving following restructure, leadership change, or organisational redesign
Staff are navigating redeployment or internal competition for roles in a changing structure
The organisation wants to demonstrate genuine duty of care rather than minimum compliance
Employer reputation and the experience of departing staff both matter to leadership
Next Steps
If you have someone leaving and want to discuss the right level of support, or if you are planning a larger programme and want to understand what the Career Transition Programme could look like for your organisation, the next step is a conversation.
There is no obligation. The intention is clarity on both sides about whether this is the right fit.
