Working with me

People arrive at this page from very different places. Some have a specific and immediate need: an interview coming up, a CV that is not landing, a role they want to make the strongest possible case for. Others are carrying something larger: a sense that the next move needs to be fundamentally different from the ones that came before, or that the tools and strategies they have used throughout their career are no longer quite enough.

Both are valid. Both are places I work from.

What follows is a map of the different ways we might work together. The right starting point depends entirely on where you are right now. If you are not sure, the Career Clarity Session at the end of this page exists precisely for that moment.

Career Death and Rebirth

My flagship 1:1 programme, for senior professionals at a genuine identity-level crossroads.

There is a particular kind of stuck that has nothing to do with capability. You have the experience. You can see the next chapter. And yet something keeps getting in the way, something underneath the strategy that you cannot quite name or push through.

This is the work that addresses what strategy alone cannot reach. It integrates executive coaching, career positioning, and practices with shamanic roots to support the kind of identity-level transition that significant career change actually requires. It is not for everyone. For the people it is for, it tends to be the thing that finally moves what has not moved.

If you recognise yourself in that description, the Career Death and Rebirth page will tell you everything you need to know.

Senior Appointments Masterclass

A small, curated twelve-week programme for senior professionals who are ready for their next appointment and want to arrive there as the most credible, compelling version of themselves.

You have built a significant career. You have led teams, delivered results, and carried real responsibility in complex organisations. You know what you are capable of. And yet something is not translating. The applications that should be landing are not landing. The conversations that should be opening doors are not opening them. The interviews that should be yours are going to someone else.

In thirty years of senior recruitment and executive search, I have seen this pattern more times than I can count. The gap is not what you have done. It is how clearly you can make others see it.

What this involves

Twelve weekly live sessions with a deliberately small cohort of no more than eight senior professionals. Every session is built around pre-work you complete before we meet, which means the live time is used for my thinking applied to your specific situation, not information transfer. Your CV, your applications, and your interview preparation receive my personal attention throughout.

The programme covers how to introduce yourself at senior level, CV and application methodology, LinkedIn positioning, competency-based and values-based interview technique, senior interview dynamics, board and executive-level presentation, networking and headhunter relationships, managing parallel processes, and offer negotiation. Nothing in your final interview should feel unfamiliar. By the time you get there, you will have been in that room with me already.

Who this is for

Senior professionals actively navigating a significant appointment who want expert support, peer challenge from a curated cohort, and someone with insider knowledge of the appointment process in their corner throughout.

The advice felt absolutely tailored to my ambition and the reality of the current job market. I immediately applied all of Heather’s suggestions and have seen a measurable change in my application to interview success rate.

The Interview Intensive

A single focused session for senior professionals who have been invited to interview and want to walk into that room thinking at the level the panel is operating at.

Most interview preparation teaches you to answer questions. The Interview Intensive teaches you to think at the level the panel is operating at. There is a significant difference between those two things, and it is the difference that determines whether you are appointed.

Before your session I research the organisation and the role, locate the relevant competency framework, and prepare a tailored question bank covering every likely topic area from multiple angles. In the session itself I use the Interview Playbook, my proprietary framework for senior interview preparation, to assess how you introduce yourself, how you structure your evidence, whether your examples are calibrated to the seniority of the role you are seeking, and whether you are talking about yourself or talking to the organisation you want to join.

After the session you receive the full question bank and session notes so your preparation continues independently.

The Interview Intensive Programme

Three sessions across an active senior appointment process, for candidates managing second rounds, parallel processes, and interviews that each demand a different emphasis. The first session establishes your foundations. The second applies everything to a specific organisation. The third becomes precise: individual words, exact weight of evidence, the difference between an answer that demonstrates capability and one that demonstrates readiness for this specific level of leadership.

Who this is for

You have been invited to interview for a role that matters to you. You have the experience for it. You want to walk into that room knowing your thinking is sharp, your evidence is right for the level, and your preparation is as thorough as it can be.

CV Impact Audit and ELEVATE Review

Expert review of your CV and application materials, using frameworks developed across thirty years of executive search and senior recruitment.

Most CVs written by senior professionals describe what they did. The best ones show what changed because they were there. There is a significant difference between those two things, and it is often the difference between being shortlisted and being overlooked.

CV Impact Audit

A structured expert review of your existing CV using the proprietary frameworks I have developed across more than thirty years of executive search. Using the Experience Impact Model, Skills in Action, and my personal profile methodology, I assess how effectively your CV communicates the scale, contribution, and leadership you have actually demonstrated. You receive a written report covering what is working, where your CV is losing impact, specific recommendations with suggested rewrites, and guidance on your personal profile and overall positioning. We walk through the report together before I send it to you in full.

ELEVATE Review

When you are applying for a specific senior role, a strong CV is not enough on its own. It needs to be the right CV for that opportunity. The ELEVATE Review is a role-specific assessment that scores your CV directly against the job description and person specification you are targeting, identifies the gaps between how you are currently presenting yourself and what the selection panel is looking for, and gives you a clear action plan to close them before you submit. This is the level of analysis I applied when I was selecting candidates for senior appointments. Now I use it on your behalf.

Who this is for

You are a senior professional who suspects your CV is not fully representing your contribution, or who is applying for a specific role that matters and wants to know the materials are as strong as they can be before they reach the panel.

Heather’s assistance rewriting and reframing my CV really assisted my next steps. Her insight and coaching helped me realise and recognise the changes I could make. Her invaluable wealth of experience is an asset for anyone needing help with their career path and development.

Career Clarity Session

A structured 90-minute conversation for professionals at a point of transition who want to understand what they are actually looking for before they begin looking for it.

Most people approach a career transition by updating their CV and searching for the next available role. What is far less common, and far more useful, is pausing first to ask a more important question. Not what job is available. But what kind of work would allow you to be fully yourself.

The Career Clarity Session goes beneath job titles, salary bands, and market availability to explore where you have genuinely thrived, what you do with comparative ease that others find difficult, the environments and people that bring out your best work, and the honest parameters of a role that would actually fit your life.

After our session I will send you your Career Compass: a personal one-page document written in your own voice that captures everything we uncovered together. Clients return to their Career Compass when they are weighing up two roles, when a recruiter puts something in front of them, and when they sense something is not quite right about an opportunity they cannot easily name. It becomes a fixed point they navigate by.

Who this is for

You are at a point of transition or consideration. You may have left a role, be thinking about leaving, or simply sense that the next move needs to be more intentional than the last. You are done applying for everything and hoping something fits.

If you have read this far and you are still not sure where to start, that uncertainty is worth naming rather than pushing through. The Career Clarity Session exists for exactly that moment. Or you are welcome to get in touch directly and we can work out together where the right starting point is.

Most of the people I work with do not arrive knowing precisely what they need. They arrive knowing that what they have been doing is not working, and that they want someone who understands both the system and the deeper landscape to help them think it through. That is a completely reasonable place to begin.
